Denise Machin is a dance scholar and educator. She earned her BA in Dance from Columbia University and her PhD in Critical Dance Studies from the University of California, Riverside. She has served as the director of the Claremont Colleges Ballroom Dance Company since 2016, the third largest collegiate ballroom dance program in the country with over 100 members. Denise is passionate about teaching dance to everyone, from beginners to seasoned competitors, and people getting ready for special life events. She specializes in International Standard and Latin, American Smooth, Nightclub dances, and choreography.
