At Edelweiss Premier Ballroom we teach the two main categories of dance: Latin and Ballroom. Latin dances are grouped into two sub categories: American Rhythm and International Latin. Rhythm consists of five dances: Cha-Cha, Rumba, East Coast Swing, Bolero and Mambo. International Latin also consists of five dances: Cha-Cha, Rumba, Jive, Paso Doble and Samba.

There are two sub categories of Ballroom: International Standard and American Smooth. The International Standard style includes five dances: Waltz, Tango, Viennese Waltz, Foxtrot, and Quickstep. The four dances that comprise American Smooth are: Waltz, Tango, Fox Trot, and Viennese Waltz.
